MSET 365--Fall 2008

I enjoyed Microcomputers becaues of the many ways I learned to utilize technology in the classroom.  I often thought of using technology as time consuming because of the amount of time that it would take to work with students in this area.  However after taking the course I realized what a creative and fun way to engage students.  I learned to become technologically responsive in the classroom.

I had many projects in this course and I feel that I gained the most knowledge working on a movie.  I had the priviledge of working with a second grade class at McCoy Elementary.  For my practicum work with this class we did many things.  The most memorable activity we did was create a movie.  Naturally luck was not on our side and we suffered a mishap.  The movie software was not compatible with the computer and I nor my professor could get it to work.  That was rather disappointing, but I taught my students a very important lesson.  Although things may happen it is important to turn in something!!! I ended up creating a Webbe book at the last minute.  Below are snap shots of the pictures taken from the work of our movie.  It is amazing how you can see creative young minds in action.
